Last updated 14 September 2026. This page explains what Presentee collects to verify attendance, why, and how you can get it deleted.
Presentee is attendance software used by a company (“Workspace”) to track its own employees. If you are an employee using Presentee, your Workspace administrator is the data controller for your attendance records; Presentee acts as the processor that runs the service on their behalf. If you are a Company Admin or Super Admin registering a Workspace, you are also a user of the service directly, and this policy covers your account data too.
Depending on how your Workspace is configured, Presentee processes:
Every category above exists to make an attendance record verifiable: confirming an employee was at an approved location, on an approved device, and — where configured — visibly present, so a Company Admin does not have to take a self-reported check-in on faith. Support and billing data exist to run the service and respond when you ask us for help.
Attendance records, selfie evidence, and location data are retained for as long as the Workspace remains active, so your Company Admin can run payroll, reporting, and compliance checks. When an employee is deactivated or a Workspace is closed, associated data is retained only as long as your Company Admin configures, subject to the deletion rights in Section 6.
We do not sell your data. Data is visible to your own Workspace’s Company Admins and Super Admins (scoped strictly to their own company — see our Security page), and to the infrastructure providers that host the service (database hosting and transactional email delivery) strictly to operate it. Those providers do not have independent rights to use your data.
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal data. If you are an employee, start with your Company Admin, who can remove your account directly. If you would rather contact us, or if you are a Company Admin closing a Workspace, see the Data Deletion page for how to submit a request and what happens to each category of data.
Presentee is a workplace attendance tool and is not directed at, or knowingly used to collect data from, children.
If we make a material change to how we handle your data, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Presentee after a change means you accept the updated policy.
Questions about this policy or a request that isn’t covered above can be sent through the Support page.
